7 Days Itinerary
AOMAK WHITE SAND DUNES
Day 1: Upon your arrival on the breathtaking island of Socotra, our local team will warmly welcome you and embark on your journey through this extraordinary landscape. Your first stop is Aomak, a paradise-like white beach bordered by turquoise waters and massive white sand dunes. After lunch, you’ll explore the Socotri villages scattered across the southern plain before visiting Dagub Cave, known for its fascinating rock formations and long-standing use by villagers for rituals and shelter during the monsoon season. After exploring the cave, we return to Aomak Beach for a hike to the highest peak of the surrounding dunes, where you’ll witness an unforgettable sunset—one of the most stunning dune views you’ll ever experience.
DIKSAM DRAGON BLOOD & CANYON
Day 2: begins with a drive to Diksam Canyon to see the famous “Dragon Blood Trees” (Dracaena Cinnabari). While the powers of these unique trees have yet to be fully explored, Dragon Blood trees are a wonderful endemic species that secrete a blood like looking crystal powder that ancient locals have used for its miraculous properties. The mountain range presents a beautiful panoramic view over the Diksam Canyon, where the hills are filled with Dragon Blood trees to admire and photograph. We will then have a picnic under the trees and descend into Wadi Dirhur to explore a variety of freshwater pools surrounded by a huge granite rock formation. We will camp and dine in a guest house equipped with a washroom and shower.
QALANSIYA - DETWAH LAGOON
Day 3: We journey west to unwind in the paradise of Detwah Lagoon, a protected area nestled between the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean, home to one of the most stunning beaches on Earth. Explore the magical seabed teeming with endemic species and marvel as the water recedes, revealing a variety of sea life along the shores of this turquoise lagoon. Nearby, you’ll find the village of Qalansiya, Socotra’s second-largest settlement, located at the island’s northwestern tip. Immerse yourself in the island’s rich cultural heritage and enjoy an authentic experience with the welcoming locals and children. In the afternoon, we’ll hike to the highest peak for what is considered the best sunset view on the island. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight camping experience at Detwah Lagoon.
SHOAB BEACH/DOLPHINS & CORAL REEF AT DIHAMRI
Day 4: We head out to Qalansiya port, we will cruise with one of these authentic boats for a tour along the cliffs of the western coast towards the beach of Shoab, home of spinner dolphins, you will have a unique chance to swim & see the spinner dolphins. We will set ashore in this remote and pristine beach that is one of the world best beaches. We then head back for lunch to Detwa. After Lunch, we will make our way to the Dihamri marine protected coral reserve. In this idyllic location, you can snorkel and explore this magical coral reef or you can go fishing with the local fisherman and lend a hand at catching fish for our dinner. We will set up camp at Dihamri beach and spend another night under the beautiful stars.
KLISSAN RIVER & ARHER TWIN WHITE DUNES
Day 5: A 20-30 minute descent brings us to the Klissan River, a breathtaking natural wonder with crystal-clear water surrounded by carved rocks—ideal for swimming, rock climbing, and cliff jumping. After enjoying lunch on the rocks, we’ll head back and drive to Arher, where a stunning beach awaits on the eastern side of the island. This beach is framed by twin white dunes with water flowing directly from a nearby cave. We’ll set up camp near the beach and unwind, enjoying a peaceful evening with dinner under the stars.
HOMHIL NATURAL POOL
Day 6: We set out for Wadi Al Shefa and trek up to Homhil, where you’ll encounter a remarkable mix of dragon blood trees, bottle trees, and other endemic species. A short walk down the valley follows a path through carved rocks, leading to a natural infinity pool. Take a refreshing dip in this paradise pool while enjoying stunning views of the turquoise sea. In the afternoon, we return to Arher for dinner and an overnight camp.
HADIBO - DELISHA
Day 7: We begin the day by heading to the capital, Hadibo, to complete the required PCR test for your return flight (regulations may vary at the time of travel). Afterward, we’ll explore the city’s main streets, visit the fish market, and stroll through the bustling Souk. Following lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll make our way to Delisha Lagoon, famous for its long sandy beach, where you can enjoy one last swim and a peaceful evening. We’ll set up camp on the shore, right next to the water, for a relaxing final night.
